Our Vision

The Muscatine Church of Christ is committed to the teachings of Jesus found in the “Great Commandment” and the “Great Commission.” In addition, Jesus instructed a “New Commandment” to his disciples.

  • To Love God and to Love Others (Matthew 22:37-39)
  • To Make Disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20)
  • To Love One Another (John 13:34)

Our Strategy

At the Muscatine Church of Christ, we seek to accomplish our mission by focusing our congregational life around these spiritual disciplines:

  • Worship – to glorify God by stepping into His dynamic presence through song, prayer, and life-changing messages that draw us into the presence of the Almighty God. We do this through corporate gatherings, small groups, and private Bible study and prayer.
  • Fellowship – to provide an environment where people can grow relationally with others and the Lord in a loving family atmosphere that facilitates love, hope, and acceptance.
  • Discipleship – to engage in the intentional pursuit of growing into the person that Jesus means for us to be, in this life and in the life to come.
  • Service – to offer help and hope to others in our community and the world in the name of Jesus through encouragement, acts of kindness, and sacrificially using our God-given talents and gifts.
  • Evangelism – to reach out to our immediate community, surrounding area, and the world as we have the opportunity by actively sharing the message of hope, love, and forgiveness that Christ offers to all who will believe.

The Apostle Paul’s Prayer for the Church

“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have the power together with all the saints, to grasp how wide…how long…how high…and how deep…is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!  Amen.”    (Ephesians 3:17b – 21)
