Meet Our Speaker
CHRISTI LONES
Christi S. Lones, originally from Montgomery, Alabama, holds a B.S. in History from Faulkner University and a Master of Liberal Studies in History from Fort Hays State University. She has served in higher education for nearly two decades, including roles as Director of Student Activities, Director of Admissions, and Assistant Professor of History at York College (now York University). During her tenure, she was recognized with multiple honors for teaching excellence and leadership, including the Faculty Excellence Award, Faculty Member of the Year, and the Dale R. Larsen Teacher of Achievement Award.
Christi has been actively engaged in both academic and civic leadership. She co-authored The Campus Series: York College, served as chaplain for the York College Volleyball Team, and frequently spoke on “Quiet Leadership” at the Presidential Leadership Institute, later serving as its Executive Director. In 2019, she was named one of York County’s inaugural Five under Forty-Five Impact Award recipients. She also served on the York City Council and the Nebraska State Historic Preservation Board.
In 2023, Christi and her family relocated to Jackson, Tennessee, where she serves as First Lady of Jackson Christian School and as Special Assistant to the President and Special Projects Coordinator. She is an active member of Skyline Church of Christ and remains deeply engaged in her community.
Christi regularly speaks on leadership, leads Bible studies, teaches Bible classes, and speaks at ladies’ days.
Christi and her husband, Dr. Billy M. Lones, have been married since 1997 and have two children, Cooper (17) and Calleigh (16).
