This Sunday’s sermon picks up part two of the Sins of the Heart section in our Surrender All series through the Sermon on the Mount.
The topic is selfish unfaithfulness — Matthew 5:27-32. Jesus on adultery, lust, and divorce. He takes the seventh commandment past the action and straight into the heart. What you do matters, but what you intend matters just as much.
The sermon walks through the real impacts of unfaithfulness — broken trust, emotional stress, isolation, rushed decisions — and then into what Jesus actually says about divorce in Matthew 19. It’s not the comfortable passage, but it’s an honest one. And it lands somewhere important: the bigger issue isn’t just marriage. It’s about who or what sits in God’s place.
Ends with the new covenant and communion. Worth your Sunday morning.
