Counting Our Blessings and Looking Forward
As we reflect on the past year, it’s a perfect opportunity to count our many blessings. The Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians about the joy of giving and how generosity leads to thanksgiving to God (2 Corinthians 9:11). Indeed, it’s through our collective efforts, both individual and as a congregation, that we’ve been blessed and able to bless others.
Practical Steps to Embrace Generosity
- Reflect on Your Blessings: Take time this week to list the ways God has blessed you, both big and small.
- Identify Your Talents: Pray and ask for guidance to identify how you can use your unique talents to serve others and glorify God.
- Engage with the Community: Consider participating in community outreach activities such as volunteer services or church-organized events.
- Foster Relationships: Reach out to friends or family members and share your faith with them. Building strong, Christ-centered relationships can lead others to Him.
- Commit to a Personal Ministry: Whether it’s hospitality, teaching, or another area of service, find a way to be active in ministering to others.
