What Is The Gospel Project?
At Muscatine Church of Christ, we believe in helping people of all ages grow in their faith by exploring the incredible story of the Bible. That’s why we’re excited to use The Gospel Project, a Christ-centered, chronological Bible study that takes participants on a journey through the entire narrative of Scripture—from Genesis to Revelation.
The Gospel Project is more than a Bible study; it’s a transformational experience. By focusing on how every story points to Jesus and God’s plan for redemption, this curriculum helps us understand not only the overarching gospel story but also how it connects to our own lives today.
How The Gospel Project Works
Every session of The Gospel Project is:
- Christ-Centered: The lessons consistently highlight Jesus as the central figure of Scripture.
- Chronological: Participants follow the Bible’s storyline in order, gaining a deeper appreciation of how God’s plan unfolds.
- Theologically Rich: The studies are biblically sound and age-appropriate, designed to nurture faith for kids, teens, and adults alike.
- Heart Transforming: This curriculum encourages real transformation through the gospel—not just behavior change.
- Missionally Minded: Each session challenges participants to live out their faith by sharing the gospel in their daily lives.
At Muscatine Church of Christ, we incorporate The Gospel Project into several of our Bible classes, making it accessible for people of all ages.
How It’s Used in Our Weekly Bible Classes
- Preschool and Elementary Classes (Ages 3–5th Grade): Kids dive into interactive Bible lessons, fun activities, and discussions that bring the gospel story to life. They learn how God’s plan of redemption impacts their daily lives and how they, too, can live for Jesus.
- Teen Class (Middle and High School): Students dig deeper into Scripture, exploring the narrative of the Bible while engaging in discussions about faith, life, and God’s mission for them.
- Young Adult and Adult Classes: Through thoughtful discussions and practical applications, participants gain a deeper understanding of Scripture and its relevance to their faith journey.
Each age group studies the same section of Scripture each week, creating a cohesive learning experience for families to discuss and grow together in their faith.
